The invention discloses a decorative board for a wall inside a house and a construction method thereof. The decorative board comprises an upper transverse board and a lower transverse board which arefixed on the wall, wherein a middle transverse board is arranged between the upper transverse board and the lower transverse board; the structure of the upper transverse board and that of the lower transverse board are the same; each of the upper transverse board and the lower transverse board is composed of straight slabs and sliding seats arranged in the length directions of the straight slabs;internally-threaded fixing tubes positioned among the adjacent sliding seats are arranged on the straight slabs; a decorative board is arranged between the upper transverse board and the lower transverse board; and supporting parts matched with two sides of the middle transverse board are arranged between the decorative slab and the wall. The decorative board has the beneficial effects that afterthe mounting through the decorative slab, the performance of the decorative slab is not influenced as well as the decorative slab is protected against mildew and rot no matter whether the wall is wetor not; the decorative board can be applied to the wall of which the surface is uneven; after the mounting, the problem that decorative surfaces are staggered due to the uneven wall can be solved; andthe mounting is simple and efficient, so that overall mounting process can be achieved without professional personnel and professional tools, and the human cost can be reduced.
