The invention relates to a composite insulation board for external insulation of a building external wall and a preparation method thereof. The method comprises the following steps: firstly, coating the lower surface of the glass wool board with a flame-retardant polyurethane adhesive; adhering a cement glass fiber felt; conveying the glass wool board adhered with the cement glass fiber felt intoa laminating conveyor of a polyurethane board continuous production line; meanwhile, carrying out mixed pouring of a polyurethane black material and a polyurethane white material on the upper surfaceof the glass wool board; and gradually foaming and forming the polyurethane mixture on the surface of the glass wool board, bonding the polyurethane mixture with the upper-layer cement glass fiber felt into a whole by utilizing the bonding performance of the polyurethane board, and finally curing and cutting the product to obtain the polyurethane and glass wool composite insulation board. The composite insulation board for external thermal insulation of the building external wall prepared by the process integrates safety, fire prevention, energy conservation and thermal insulation, and the glass wool and polyurethane composite insulation board for external thermal insulation of the building external wall has good mechanical property and waterproof property.
