The invention discloses a method for manufacturing a mudstone material, which comprises the following steps of: selecting a clay raw material, filling the clay raw material into a customized concave mold, forming a clutch whole by the concave mold and a convex mold, respectively implanting the concave mold and the convex mold into the upper end and the lower end of equipment, and driving and forming the convex end of the equipment by mechanical pressure, hydraulic pressure, ten-thousand-ton water pressure and ultrahigh-pressure pressure application. The method also includes high temperature steam compression molding. Clay raw materials used in the method are mainly clay raw materials, and clay and other related substances are combined to form clay composite raw materials to prepare the clay composite material. Therefore, according to the described method, the mudstone and the mudstone composite material are formed from the raw material clay and the clay composite raw material under thehigh-temperature and high-pressure conditions under the action of artificial external force, and the method is suitable for the product manufacturing process.
