The invention discloses a method and a system for calcining dolomite in a heat accumulating type energy-saving double-hearth shaft kiln. The method comprises the following steps that a double-hearth shaft kiln and related auxiliary equipment are debugged, materials are prepared and charged, and a discharging device continuously operates in the process; ignition is conducted after charging is completed, the kiln with materials is dried, and in the kiln drying process, a feeding device and the discharging device are in a continuous running state; the production system starts calcination betweenthe ignition and the kiln drying, and comprises the steps of calcination, reversing, burdening, feeding, ash discharging and ash discharging, the burdening process is between reversing and calcination, the double-hearth shaft kiln conducts reversing while conducting calcination, a calcination kiln hearth is periodically adjusted to be an exhaust kiln hearth, and an original exhaust kiln hearth isadjusted to be a calcination kiln hearth, the feeding is conducted in the reversing process, and the ash discharging process and the reversing are conducted simultaneously; and ash is discharged to obtain a calcined dolomite product. According to the method, the phenomenon of non-uniform heat distribution in a calcining process is improved, the technological process of each link is optimized, andthe calcining yield and the product quality are improved.
