According to the bidirectional transmission type supporting device, a driving unit is arranged in the middle, the radialsizes of the two ends of the supporting device can be effectively reduced, and therefore the possibility that the supporting device interferes with the external environment can be reduced, even an electric supporting rod system can be used in a smaller vehicle model, the bidirectional transmission efficiency is high, namely under the condition that the opening or closing stroke of the supportingrod is certain, and a motor can achieve the same door opening and closing time at the lower rotating speed compared with traditional single-direction transmission.
