The invention discloses a prefabricated thermal insulation component for tunnel side ditches in a cold region. The prefabricated thermal insulation component comprises a prefabricated thermal insulation plate and a prefabricated thermal insulation cover plate; the prefabricated thermal insulation plate comprises a plurality of thermal insulation veneers with U-shaped cross sections; each thermal insulation veneer is composed of a protection frame and a thermal insulation inner core, and each protection frame wraps the inner surface and the outer surface of the corresponding thermal insulationinner core; the adjacent thermal insulation veneers are connected through frame connecting parts; after all the thermal insulation veneers are sequentially connected in series, the outer side ends ofthe head thermal insulation veneer and the tail thermal insulation veneer are blocked through frame end covers; and the side walls of part of the thermal insulation veneers are provided with penetrating holes used for being connected with a tunnel water drain pipe, and sealing pieces are arranged in the penetrating holes. The thermal insulation component can conduct all-around thermal insulation on the tunnel side ditches, and a good thermal insulation effect is achieved while it is guaranteed that water drainage is smooth; and in addition, the thermal insulation component has the advantages of being high in strength, good in durability, convenient to construct and assemble and the like, and the thermal insulation component is quite suitable for tunnels in cold regions.
