The invention provides a mounting structure for a circular daylighting roof. A daylighting opening communicating with the outdoor is formed in an indoor ceiling, the upper end of the daylighting opening is connected with a dome, and a suspended ceiling comprises a framework and gypsum boards. The framework is fixedly mounted on the inner wall of the daylighting opening, the gypsum boards are fixedly mounted on the framework and comprise a first annular gypsum board and a second annular gypsum board, and a sunshading area is formed between the second annular gypsum board and the first annular gypsum board. A sunshading mechanism comprises a plurality of electric sunshading curtains which are mounted on the framework, a plurality of sunshading screens are driven by the electric sunshading curtains to extend into the sunshading area, and are spliced to form a sunshading surface, and the sunshading surface covers the sunshading area. The invention further provides a mounting method for anultrahigh circular gypsum board sunshading daylighting roof. Compared with the prior art, suspended ceiling mounting efficiency of the ultrahigh circular daylighting roof is improved, the mounting difficulty of the cylindrical suspended ceiling is lowered, and a retractable sunshading function is added.
