The invention provides a mounting structure and a mounting method of a decorative panel on a building facade. The mounting structure comprises the decorative panel and a blocking material used for being mounted on a base layer plate of the building facade. A clamping groove is formed in the decorative panel, and the clamping groove and the blocking material are in clamped connection. The mountingmethod comprises the steps that the blocking material is installed on the base layer plate of the building facade; and the clamping groove of the decorative panel is in clamped connection with the blocking material, so that the decorative panel is mounted on the building facade. According to the embodiment, the decorative panel and the blocking material are in clamped connection, so that the decorative panel has enough space for free stretching and retracting, flexible stretching and retracting of the decorative panel are guaranteed, cracking and deformation of the decorative panel are avoided, the lasting stability of the decorative panel is kept, the quality of a facing is ensured, and the practicability of the decorative effect is reflected to the maximum degree. The later maintenance cost can be reduced because the decorative panel is not prone to cracking or deforming. A clamped connection mode is utilized, and implementation is easy.
