The invention provides an internal octagonal inner-poured concrete composite column which comprises steel plates and corner steel pipes, wherein a plurality of corner steel pipes are uniformly arranged; one steel plate is arranged between every two adjacent corner steel pipes to form a hollow columnar structure; each corner steel pipe is a right triangular corner steel pipe, two base angles of theright triangular corner steel pipe are chamfers, and the section of each chamfer is fixedly connected with the side wall of the steel pipe in a welding mode; and the three angles of the right triangular corner steel pipe form edge constraint by the stability of a triangle, meanwhile the two sides of the steel pipe connected with the triangular corner steel pipes are bound by the triangular cornersteel pipes, and thus the compression capacity of the composite column is greatly increased. Therefore, in the same external size, the width-to-thickness ratio of the internal octagonal composite column can be reduced by nearly half compared with the ordinary box column, and therefore under the condition of obtaining the same moment of inertia, the amount of steel used in the section can be reduced by 20-30%. Thus, the amount of steel used is significantly reduced, and the economic benefit is obviously increased.
