The invention discloses a light roadbed structure above an operating tunnel and design and construction methods. The structure comprises composite light piles, a light body, U-shaped light grooves anddrainage ditches. The composite light piles are longitudinally arranged in a rock-soil foundation above a tunnel in an operation state at intervals in rows along a line; each composite light pile comprises a pile-forming light body; a light body is arranged at the top of the composite light pile; a U-shaped light groove is formed in the top of each light body, the top of the U-shaped light grooveis filled with a soil filler; and the drainage ditches are arranged at the two ends of the light body. In combination with the characteristics of low density, high compression resistance, upright attractiveness and the like of the light soil material, the light roadbed structure with the equal-load replacement function is provided based on the hooping effect of the composite reinforcement cage and the reinforcement effect of the vertical geogrids and the annular geogrids. The purpose of building a roadbed above an operating tunnel can be achieved, the additional load of the roadbed is small,and the normal use function of a tunnel structure and safe operation of vehicles in the tunnel can be guaranteed. With the structure, the construction land is saved, the ecological environment damageis reduced, and remarkable social, economic and environmental benefits are created.
