The invention relates to a steel tower vertical rotating body device and a positioning and mounting method thereof, and belongs to the technical field of bridge construction. The rotating body devicecomprises a positioning shaft, a rotating shaft and at least two hinge base assemblies, each hinge base assembly comprises a rotating hinge base, a fixed hinge base and a shaft hole set, each shaft hole set comprises a first shaft hole formed in the steel tower rotating section and a second shaft hole formed in the steel tower fixed section, and the second shaft hole is matched with the first shaft hole; when the positioning shaft is inserted into all the shaft hole sets in a penetrating mode, the rotating hinged support is connected with a rotary section of a steel tower, and the fixed hingedsupport is connected with a fixed section of the steel tower, the space where the positioning shaft is located forms a positioning space. The diameter of the rotating shaft is not greater than that of the positioning shaft; and the rotating shaft penetrates into the positioning space. The positioning installation method comprises the steps that the positioning shaft is inserted into all the shafthole sets in a penetrating mode; the rotary hinged support is connected with the rotary section of the steel tower, and the fixed hinged support is connected with the fixed section of the steel tower; and the positioning shaft is replaced by the rotating shaft.
