The invention relates to the technical field of building materials, and discloses a waterproof gypsum-based caulking paste. The caulking paste comprises the following components in parts by weight: 800-1000 parts of gypsum; 10 to 12 parts of short plant fibers with a length of 10 to 20 mm, 0.2 to 0.5 part of a retarder, 2 to 4 parts of a water-retaining agent, 1 to 8 parts of latex powder, 0.5 to1.5 parts of an anti-sagging agent, 3 to 5 parts of a polydimethylsiloxane grafted styrene-butyl acrylate-silane coupling agent emulsion copolymer, and 400 to 800 parts of water. According to the invention, the polydimethylsiloxane grafted styrene-butyl acrylate-silane coupling agent emulsion copolymer is added into the gypsum-based caulking paste; the excellent cohesiveness of the styrene-butyl acrylate emulsion and the good hydrophobicity of the polydimethylsiloxane and the silane coupling agent are realized; the gypsum-based caulking paste has good adhesive force on the surface of the gypsum plaster board, is endowed with waterproofness, effectively prevents the gypsum-based caulking paste from absorbing water and deforming, and prolongs the service life of the gypsum-based caulking paste.
