The invention discloses a flapping type door leaf anti-pinch device. The flapping type door leaf anti-pinch device and method comprise two gate main bodies which are oppositely arranged and two flapping type door leaves which are connected with the gate main bodies and oppositely arranged, wherein a control device for controlling opening and closing of the flapping type door leaves is arranged inthe gate main bodies; at least one ultrasonic sensor is arranged on at least one flapping type door leaf and used for detecting whether the distance between a passing person and the flapping type doorleaf is smaller than a preset distance or not; and when the distance is smaller than the preset distance, the control device controls the door leaves to stop closing. By means of the mode, the mistaken clamping phenomenon caused by a detection blind area of an infrared sensor can be effectively avoided.
