The large bottom brick is prepared from the following raw materials in percentage by mass: 60-70% of synthetic material; 1-5% of refractory cement; 5-15% of sintered corundum; 5 -15% of mullite fine powder; 2-5% of silica fume; the synthetic material is prepared from the following raw materials in percentage by mass: 30-40% of Suzhou soil; 30-40% of bauxite; 20-25% of mullite; and 2-8% of a binding agent. After sintering the synthetic material, the materials are mixed, high-frequency pouring molding is performed and sintered in a kiln to obtain the finished product. The large bottom brick prepared by the method is high in strength, high in density and low in porosity, the air tightness of the whole tin bath can be improved, the oxygen pollution is reduced andthe cyanea phenomenon is avoided, free substances in tin liquor and drippings at the top of the tin bath are reduced, the yield of glass is increased by 5% or above and the profits of glass enterprises can be effectively increased.
