The invention discloses a construction method for transversely moving and erecting a steel plate composite beam. The method comprises the following steps of: firstly, erecting a temporary bracket forerecting a beam body, installing a slideway beam on a bracket cross beam, and installing a sliding groove in the slideway beam; arranging a sliding block in the sliding groove, fixing an adjustable screw rod to the sliding block through a steel pin, enabling the top of the adjustable screw rod to abut against the steel plate composite beam, and using a continuous jack fixed to the slideway beam topull a steel strand connected with the sliding block to achieve transverse movement of the composite beam; and after the transverse movement in place, finely adjusting the beam section through a three-way jack arranged on the bracket cross beam until the precision requirement is met, and continuously finishing the subsequent connection and installation of the steel plate composite beam. The construction method is safe, reliable and easy to install. The difficulties that in urban bridge construction, normal hoisting cannot be achieved due to the influence of high-voltage lines and the clearance influence of an existing viaduct are fully considered, and the construction method using the continuous jack and the steel strand to pull the sliding block to transversely move the composite beam isused to solve the problem that the clearance of hoisting operation is not enough.
