The invention discloses a lime kiln calcining process for active calcium oxide production, belonging to the field of calcium oxide production. The invention aims to solve the problems that limestone is heated unevenly and is prone to generating underfire lime and overfire lime in the calcining process of limestone with an existing lime kiln. The lime kiln calcining process comprises the followingsteps: pretreatment of limestone; preheating in a preheating zone, wherein a preheating temperature is in a range of 960 to 1000 DEG C, limestone particles are preheated in the preheating zone in a layered manner, and total preheating time is 46 +/- 5 min; calcining in a calcining zone, wherein a calcining temperature is in a range of 1150 to 1200 DEG C, and the limestone particles are calcined inthe calcining zone in a layered manner for 18 +/- 2 minutes; cooling in a cooling area, wherein a discharging temperature is in a range of 90 to 100 DEG C, and the limestone particles are cooled in the cooling area in a layered manner; and blanking. According to the invention, the step of preheating in the preheating zone, the step of calcining in the calcining zone, the step of cooling in the cooling zone and the step of blanking are carried out in a specially-made lime kiln. According to the invention, the specially-made lime kiln is utilized, so limestone is heated more uniformly, and theformation of underfire lime and overfire lime is reduced.
