The invention discloses a welding method of an H-shaped steel structure and a horizontal positioning coupling device. The ends of two pieces of H-shaped steel to be welded are aligned. A horizontal positioning coupling device is disposed at the welding position of the two pieces of H-shaped steel. The gap width at the weld is adjusted by adjusting the height of the horizontal positioning couplingdevice. A diamond supporting frame is arranged between an upper welding block and a lower welding block. The upper welding block and the lower welding block are fixedly arranged on two fulcrum pointson the diagonal of the diamond supporting frame. A locking steel sleeve and a nut steel sleeve are fixedly arranged on the two supporting points on the other diagonal of the diamond supporting frame correspondingly. A screwing bolt is arranged between the locking steel sleeve and the nut steel sleeve. By means of the welding method and the horizontal positioning coupling device, the problem that the overall bending strength of the welded H-shaped steel is greatly reduced because upper and lower H-shaped steel welded in a traditional welding mode is not kept on one straight line, and accordingly serious safety and quality problems can be caused is avoided. Therefore, the device can overcome the defects of a traditional welding process and reduce the probability of occurrence of safety accidents.
