The invention discloses a handrail for a municipal road. The handrail structurally comprises a base, a side rod, an upper cross rod, a support rod, a lower cross rod and an alarm structure. The uppercross rod is arranged above the lower cross rod and is parallel to the lower cross rod. The two ends of the upper cross rod and the lower cross rod are respectively connected with side rods. Bases arewelded at the bottoms of the side rods. A support rod is connected between the upper cross rod and the lower cross rod. The interiors of the side rods, the upper cross rod, the support rods and the lower cross rod are communicated together. An alarm structure is mounted in the base. The alarm structure is communicated with the bottom of the side rod. The alarm structure comprises an outer ring, aretaining block, an inner ring, a pusher, a fixed shaft, a contact block and an alarm. The fixed shaft is connected in the base. The handrail has the beneficial effects that when an accident occurs,power is provided for rotation through extrusion flowing of air in the internally-sealed handrail, so that a contact block touches an alarm to give an alarm, and workers can find out the situation intime and conduct treatment or replace the handrail conveniently.
