The invention discloses a high-flame-retardant and sound-absorbing sandstone composite board and a preparation method thereof. The sandstone composite board comprises a sound-absorbing sand layer, a gridding cloth layer, a centrifugal glass wool layer and a non-woven fabric layer. The sound-absorbing sand layer comprises white marble sand grains, a water-based adhesive, an environment-friendly polyurethane adhesive and rutile titanium dioxide; and the water-based adhesive is prepared from, by weight, 22 to 28% of a water-based styrene-acrylic emulsion, 5 to 8% of a preservative, 10 to 13% of cellulose, 5 to 8% of an AXE-60 type thickener, 3 to 5% of a dispersing agent, 5 to 9% of a multifunctional additive AMP-95 and 35 to 40% of softened water. The sandstone composite board is good in sound-absorbing effect, high in fireproof grade, high in surface strength, simple in preparation method, high in forming speed and capable of being constructed on site.
