The invention relates to a municipal pipe network water supply system. The municipal pipe network water supply system comprises a water supply tank and a shielding device, wherein the shielding devicecomprises a fixed cover plate, first guide rails, movable cover plates, first sliding blocks, a driving mechanism and a turnover mechanism; the fixed cover plate is arranged on the side, away from stairs, of the top of the water supply tank; the first guide rails are symmetrically arranged on the top of the water supply tank; the movable cover plates are symmetrically connected to the first guiderails in a sliding mode; the first sliding blocks are symmetrically arranged on the movable cover plates and matched with the first guide rails; the driving mechanism is arranged in the water supplytank and used for driving the first sliding blocks to automatically slide; the turnover mechanism is hinged between the two movable cover plates; a cleaning mechanism used for automatically cleaning pollutants in the water supply tank is further arranged at the bottom of the water supply tank; and a drainage assembly used for draining water in the water supply tank is arranged on the outer side wall of the water supply tank. The municipal pipe network water supply system has the effects of effectively shielding and sealing water in the water supply tank and effectively cleaning pollutants andsediments in the water supply tank, and therefore the situation that water in the water supply tank is polluted can be reduced.
