The invention relates to a self-propelled ground milling machine (1), particularly a road miller, stabilizer or recycler, comprising a machine frame (3) borne by travelling mechanisms (2), a ground milling device (4) mounted on the machine frame having a milling roller box (9) and a milling roller (10) which can be rotated within the milling roller box about an axis of rotation (R) running transverse to a main working direction (A) of the ground milling machine, and a manoeuvring platform (5) from which the ground milling machine is operated by an operator, having a manoeuvring platform floor(13) on which the operator can stand while operating the ground milling machine, having a main floor plate (14), wherein, in addition to the main floor plate, a side floor plate (15) is provided whichcan be pivoted about a vertical axis (S) or can be displaced along a horizontal displacement axis (H) by means of which side floor plate the standing area of the manoeuvring platform can be varied.
