The invention relates to a door handle assembly (3) of a motor vehicle (1), comprising a carrier (7), a handle body (4), which is mounted for pivoting about an axis of rotation (10) and can be moved from an idle position into an end position, and a force-increasing device (21), which is designed, during movement of the handle body (4) from the idle position until the attainment of the intermediateposition, to produce a resistance force (39) counteracting the movement of the handle body (4). The force-increasing device (21) comprises a force-increasing element (16), which produces the resistance force (39) and is fastened to the handle body (4), a resistance element (17), which interacts with the force-increasing element (16) and is mounted on the handle body (4), and a movement element (18), which is designed, during movement of the handle body from the idle position until the attainment of the intermediate position, to move the resistance element (17) translationally toward the force-increasing element (16) against the resistance force (39) produced by the force-increasing element (16) and, during movement of the handle body from the end position into the idle position, to move the resistance element rotationally.
