The cross section of the overall 8-shaped interlocking armor block is in an 8 shape, at least two wave dissipation holes penetrate through the front face of the block vertically, the two sides of the block are each provided with a groove, and each groove communicates with the corresponding wave dissipation hole. When waves impact the block, water enters from the wave dissipation holes and is discharged from the grooves communicated with the wave dissipation holes. A 8-shaped structure is adopted, the appearance is neat and regular, the appearance is attractive, and the requirement of a coast landscape is met. The surface of the block is flat, people thus can walk on the block with ease, and the 8-shaped interlocking armor block is more suitable for beach or coastal revetment structures. The wave dissipation holes are formed in the block and are filled with block stones after the block is paved, sothat the wave dissipation effect is achieved, and the protection surface has high water permeability. The contact area between blocks and a cushion layer is large, the 8-shaped structures are splicedin a staggered mode, each block closely fits with the corresponding adjacent blocks, the situation that the surface protection structure is loosened and falls off due to long-time sea wave impact is avoided, and the integrity and stability of the surface protection structure are improved.
