The invention discloses a lightweight steel structure with a mortised connecting node. The lightweight steel structure comprises section steel columns and section steel beams, wherein the section steel columns comprise upper steel columns and lower steel columns; the section steel beams comprise left steel beams and right steel beams; downwards extended positioning columns are arranged on flange plates of the upper steel columns; steel plates are welded to two sides of a web plate of the upper steel columns; the width of each steel plate is equal to the width of the web plate; the steel plateson two sides of the web plate of the upper steel columns enclose to form a mortise structure; U-shaped bearing plates are arranged on flange plates of the lower steel columns; positioning holes are formed in flange plates of the left steel beam and the right steel beam; the left steel beams and the right steel beams are respectively fixed onto the U-shaped bearing plates on the flange plates on two sides of the lower steel columns; a web plate of the lower steel columns is embedded into the mortise structure enclosed by the steel plates on two sides of the web plate of the upper steel columns; and the positioning columns stretch into the positioning holes in the flange plates of the section steel beams.
