The invention aims at providing a method and device for cleaning a glass curtain wall through an unmanned aerial vehicle. The glass curtain wall cleaning device comprises a cleaning assembly used forcleaning a glass curtain wall, and is characterized in that an unmanned aerial vehicle is connected with a ground station arranged on a roof through a mooring rope, the length of the mooring rope is controlled through the ground station, and therefore the unmanned aerial vehicle is hoisted to a preset construction position; and then the unmanned aerial vehicle gets close to the glass curtain wallfor cleaning operation. According to the invention, the unmanned aerial vehicle is prevented from carrying overweight materials to influence the voyage; more importantly, the unmanned aerial vehicle is hoisted to a preset construction position through the mooring rope; then, the unmanned aerial vehicle gets close to the glass curtain wall to conduct cleaning operation, the unmanned aerial vehicledoes not move in the vertical direction any more and only swings around the mooring rope, and a large amount of energy is saved.
