The grinding vehicle comprises a power device, a walking device, a driving device, an operation device anda distance measuring and speed measuring sensor. The power device comprises an internal combustion engine or a battery and provides power for the whole grinding vehicle; and the distance measuring andspeed measuring sensor measures and calculates a distance between two adjacent grinding vehicles in real time, speed adjusting information is transmitted to the driving device according to the distance information of the two adjacent grinding vehicles, and the driving device adjusts the speeds of the grinding vehicles according to the received speed adjusting information so that the distance of the two adjacent grinding vehicles can be kept within a specified distance range. The unmanned multifunctional intelligent cooperative grinding vehicle has specific advantages of automatic running, virtual coupling, flexible grouping, power dispersion and the like, various defects in existing grinding equipment can be completely overcome, and requirements for removing corrugation, fat edges, chipping, scale marks and other diseases of steel rails in a main track or turnout area of a railway can be met.
