The sewage overflow preventing type intercepting well comprises a confluence well chamber and asewage well chamber, wherein the confluence well chamber communicates with a confluence water inlet tube and a confluence water outlet tube; a weir plate telescopic structure is arranged inside the confluence well chamber; the weir plate telescopic structure is used for controlling a communication state of the confluence water inlet tube and the confluence water outlet tube; the sewage well chamber communicates with the confluence well chamber through a water passing circular hole; the sewage well chamber is used for discharging sewage through a sewage water outlet tube; a gate telescopic structure is arranged in the sewage well chamber; and the gate telescopic structure is positioned in the water passing circular hole for controlling the communication state of the water passing circularhole. A rain gauge is utilized for monitoring rainfall data in real time; the rainfall data are combined with data of liquid level meters and a flow meter arranged in an inspection well; a control module intelligently controls a weir plate and gate opening and closing degree, so that a pipeline water flow state is regulated to realize water drainage needs under various working conditions; and meanwhile, drained sewage can be stored in a regulation and storage e mode, so that sewage can be intercepted to the greatest extent, sewage in a sewage interception main tube is prevented from overflowing through the intercepting well, and water quality of water which is discharged into a river and a lake is improved.
