The invention discloses a pickaxe pit backfilling device, and relates to the technical field of railway maintenance mechanical equipment, the pickaxe pit backfilling device comprises a ballast inlet channel, a rotating body and a ballast outlet channel which are sequentially arranged from top to bottom, the upper end of the ballast inlet channel is a first feed port for introducing external railway ballast; a first discharge hole is formed in the lower end of the ballast feeding channel and is used for feeding the introduced railway ballast into the rotating body; a gate is arranged at a firstdischarge port of the ballast inlet channel and used for controlling opening and closing of the ballast inlet channel; a second feeding hole is formed in the upper end of the ballast discharging channel and is used for introducing railway ballast in the rotating body; a second discharge hole is formed in the lower end of the ballast discharge channel and is used for guiding the introduced railwayballast into the pickaxe pit; a hollow cavity is formed in the rotating body, and an opening communicated with the cavity is formed in the rotating surface of the rotating body; when the opening rotates to be opposite to the first discharging port, the cavity can bear railway ballast flowing out of the ballast inlet channel, and when the opening rotates to be opposite to the second feeding port,the railway ballast in the cavity can flow out of the ballast outlet channel.
