The preparation method of the foamed phosphogypsum block comprises the following steps: (1) pretreating phosphogypsum by using quick lime, and adding a reaction slurry with a solid-to-liquid ratio of 1:5 into a reaction kettle; (2) adding a crystal modifier maleic acid, separating and removing generated precipitate when a preset condition is reached, and airing the precipitate; (3) putting the material treated in step (2) into a rotary kiln, calciningfor a period of time, and aging; and (4) taking ardealite, ordinary Portland cement, fly ash and quicklime as main raw materials, adding a polypropylene fiber, a superplasticizer and a stearic acid emulsion in proportion, and stirring. The fly ash, cement and the like are added into calcined ardealite to form a phosphogypsum composite cementing material, the foamed phosphogypsum material is prepared in a foaming mode, and the preparation process and performance of the material are optimized.
