The invention discloses a water-saving flowerpot for municipal engineering. The water-saving flowerpot comprises a pot body with an open upper end; the interior of the pot body is divided into a planting groove and a liquid storage cavity from top to bottom through a horizontally-arranged partition plate; a plurality of communicating pipes are arranged between the planting groove and the liquid storage cavity in a communicating mode; a plurality of water supply mechanisms are evenly arranged on the pot body; each water supply mechanism comprises a containing groove formed in the pot body; a piston plate is vertically connected to the interior of each containing groove in a sealed and sliding mode; a movable rod is connected to the middle of one side of each piston plate; the end, away fromthe corresponding piston plate, of each movable rod penetrates through the side wall of the pot body and is connected with a wing plate; a sealed space formed by the side wall, away from the corresponding movable rod, of each piston plate and the corresponding containing groove is a driving area; and each movable rod is sleeved with a reset spring. Rainwater can be collected in rainy days, and when the temperature in the planting groove is relatively high, the rainwater is automatically drained into the planting groove to perform water supplement and cooling on green plants, so that the survival rate of the green plants is increased.
