The invention discloses a street two-side greening system for forming a sponge city. The greening system comprises a sidewalk, a concave main body and a drainage pipe, wherein the concave main body isarranged on the sidewalk, the sidewalk near the concave main body forms a curved surface inclining towards the concave main body, an arbor planting pit is formed in the concave main body, a coaming is arranged at the upper part of the planting pit, and permeable pavement is arranged between the interior of the concave main body and the coaming; a water inlet of the drainage pipe is formed in thebottom of the concave main body, and a water outlet of the drainage pipe is connected with an urban drainage system. Street green belts can be used for combined drainage, and the ornamental value is increased.
