The invention discloses a grooving device for road construction, which comprises a box body. A grooving device is arranged in the box body; a connecting shaft plate is welded to the inner wall of oneside of the box body; an inserting hole is formed in the upper surface of the connecting shaft plate; a first rotating shaft is inserted into the inserting hole; one end of the first rotating shaft isin key connection with a first gear; one end of the first rotating shaft is in key connection with a second bevel gear;the inner wall of one side of the box body is rotationally connected with a transmission shaft;one side of the transmission shaft is wound with a second belt;one end of the transmission shaft is in key connection with a first bevel gear;the first bevel gear is meshed with the second bevel gear;and the inner wall of one side of the box body is rotationally connected with a brush roller. According to the grooving device, grooving work is conducted, the mechanization degree is high, time and labor are saved, residues can be prevented from influencing normal grooving work, the working efficiency of the device is improved, air circulation in the transmission shaft of the box transmission shaft can be promoted, and heat dissipation is promoted.
