The invention provides a bridge erecting machine for erecting spliced wide girders and a bridge erecting method, and belongs to the technical field of bridge engineering. The bridge erecting machine comprises a top frame and first supporting legs, wherein the top frame at least comprises two transverse bearing girders; the number of the first supporting legs is one below each transverse bearing girder; the first supporting legs are connected with the transverse bearing girders in a sliding mode; and the first supporting legs are suitable for sliding to the positions of piers for supporting thespliced wide girders. According to the invention, after the position of the bridge pier of the spliced wide girders is changed in the transverse direction, the first supporting legs can slide along the transverse bearing girders, so that the positions of the first supporting legs and the transverse bearing girders are changed, and the first supporting legs are promoted to realize transverse spanchange until the first supporting legs slide to the bridge pier position for supporting the spliced wide girders; in the construction process of the spliced wide girders on the ramp, the working condition that two single-side trusses are arranged side by side can be met, the working condition that a single truss is arranged side by side with a main line box girder can also be met, and the universalization degree is high.
