The invention discloses a horizontal rod. The horizontal rod comprises a first rod part, a second rod part, an inserting part and two positioning parts, a plurality of first adjusting holes are formedin the first rod part, a plurality of second adjusting holes are formed in the second rod part, the second rod part is telescopically arranged in the first rod part, the inserting part is installed in different first adjusting holes and different second adjusting holes to adjust the extension length of the second rod part relative to the first rod part, and the two positioning parts are correspondingly arranged at the end parts of the first rod part and the second rod part to fix the first rod part and the second rod part to an external mechanism. The invention further relates to a formwork bracket of the horizontal rod for a building. The formwork bracket for the building comprises a plurality of vertical rods, a plurality of horizontal rods and a supporting plate, the horizontal rods are connected between two adjacent vertical rods, the vertical rods and the supporting plate are fixed, the supporting plate is used for supporting an aluminum formwork, and the horizontal rods are usedfor adjusting the distance between the two adjacent vertical rods.
