The invention discloses gypsum self-leveling mortar with a temperature adjusting function and a preparation method thereof. The gypsum self-leveling mortar comprises a main material, an additive and aphase change material, the main material comprises gypsum, sand, cement, coarse whiting and rubber powder, and the additive comprises a water reducing agent, a water retaining agent, a retarder and adefoaming agent. The preparation method comprises the step of uniformly mixing the main material, the additive and the phase change material to obtain the gypsum self-leveling mortar with the temperature adjusting function. The gypsum self-leveling mortar has a temperature adjusting function and is good in flowing leveling property and short in man-climbing time, does not need secondary leveling,and can replace pea gravel concrete to be used for filling a ground radiant heating layer or used as a leveling layer.
