Two-level-distribution gel-rich roller compacted concrete is arranged below the dead water level elevation; three-level-distribution gel-rich roller compacted concrete is arranged above the dead water level elevation; a firstcopper water stop and a second copper water stop of a dam transverse joint are buried in the two-level-distribution gel-rich roller compacted concrete and the three-level-distribution gel-rich rollercompacted concrete; a water stop copper sheet is buried at the pouring layer face of the dam body roller compacted concrete; the two ends of the water stop copper sheet are welded to the first copperwater stop of the dam transverse joint; and polyurea coatings are sprayed to the upstream face of the two-level-distribution gel-rich roller compacted concrete and the upstream face of the three-level-distribution gel-rich roller compacted concrete. The roller compacted concrete dam seepage-proofing structure and the construction method thereof have the advantages that the water head pressure above the dead water level elevation is small, the temperature difference between the surface and the interior of the concrete is large, the three-level-distribution concrete is adopted, the hydration heat can be effectively reduced, and the possibility of upstream face cracking is effectively reduced; and the two-level-distribution concrete is adopted below the dead water level elevation, and the effective seepage-proofing effect can be achieved.
