The invention discloses a flame-retardant thermal-insulation coating and a preparation method thereof. The flame-retardant thermal-insulation coating is mainly prepared from, by weight, 25-40 parts ofalpha-high-hardness gypsum, 8-15 parts of sepiolite powder, 10-15 parts of vermiculite powder, 3-5 parts of mica powder, 15-30 parts of diatomite, 5-15 parts of hollow glass beads, 0.1-0.5 part of cellulose ether, 0.3-0.5 part of a thixotropic lubricant, 20-30 parts of a bonding emulsion, 1-5 parts of a nanmetero tin antimony oxide dispersion, 1-5 parts of a nanometer magnesium hydroxide dispersion and 1-5 parts of a nanometer zinc oxide dispersion. The flame-retardant thermal-insulation coating has the characteristics of easiness in construction, high thermal-insulation efficiency and lightweight, and also has good thermal-insulation performance, waterproof performance, thermal-insulation performance and flame-retardant performance.
