A gravity type up-and-down opening automatic door is characterized by comprising a bottom frame, a door leaf, a stand column, a balancing weight, a rope, a rotating shaft and a rope chain. The stand column is hinged to the door leaf through a rotating shaft so that the door leaf can rotate by a certain angle on the stand column with the rotating shaft as the circle center. The two ends of the bottom frame are hinged beside the stand column and located below the door leaf; the bottom frame is connected with the door leaf through the rope chain; the bottom frame and the balancing weight are hungthrough the rope; the balancing weight takes the rotating shaft as a hanging point; and when the bottom frame moves, the balancing weight is pulled by the rope to move up and down. When the vehicle leaves, the pressure of the bottom frame is gradually reduced until the vehicle completely leaves and the bottom frame has no pressure, namely the working power is lost, the door leaf begins to fall down to be closed due to dead weight, the balancing weight has a downward movement trend without tension, and the two parts generate tension to the middle of the bottom frame, so that the bottom frame arches and returns to the original shape, and the door is closed. The door is convenient to open and close, does not consume electric energy, and is low in cost and simple to operate.
