The device comprises a shell; a mounting plate is fixedly mounted on one side of the inner wall ofthe shell; a storage battery is fixedly mounted at the top of the mounting plate; a driving motor is fixedly mounted on one side of the bottom of the mounting plate; one end of a driving motor rotating shaft is in transmission connection with a transmission shaft through a coupler; one end of the transmission shaft extends to the bottom of the shell and is fixedly connected with a sweeping disc; adriving gear is fixedly connected to the outer ring of the transmission shaft; a material pumping mechanism is arranged on one side of the driving gear; a feeding pipe is fixedly connected to a feeding port in the bottom of the shell; a box body is inserted into one end of the feeding pipe; one end of the feeding pipe extends into the box body; and a locking mechanism is arranged on the front side of the shell. According to the sweeping device for the leaves on the road surface, the driving motor, the transmission shaft and the sweeping disc are arranged and matched with the material pumpingmechanism, so that the leaves on the road surface can be sucked into the box body after being swept, and manpower is greatly saved.
