The invention discloses a steel structural beam for municipal road and bridge construction and a construction method thereof. The steel structural beam comprises a cross frame and a vertical frame, wherein a mounting groove is formed in the upper end of the cross frame, a bolt is installed at the inner bottom of the mounting groove, a part of the lower end of the bolt is in threaded connection with the vertical frame, a placing groove is formed in the upper end of the cross frame, a gravity triggering mechanism is arranged in the placing groove, a chute and a cross cavity are formed in the cross frame in sequence from top to bottom, both the cross cavity and the chute are located between the mounting groove and the placing groove, a vertical cavity is formed between the chute and the placing groove, a sealed mechanism is arranged in the vertical cavity and the chute together, and a dust collecting mechanism which is matched with the sealed mechanism is arranged in the cross cavity. According to the steel structural beam, the erosion of rainwater to the bolt can be effectively reduced, so that the safety in use of the structural beam is increased, and additionally, dust in the mounting position of the bolt can be automatically collected, so that the bolt is convenient to remove at a later period.
