The invention discloses a sidewalk erecting method based on steel box girder cantilever arms. The sidewalk erecting method comprises the steps of prefabricating a plurality of first sections and a plurality of second sections used for forming a sidewalk, and prefabricating a plurality of cantilever arms used for being arranged on the side face of a steel box girder; respectively connecting the plurality of first sections with the cantilever arms in advance; erecting a steel box girder; hoisting the first sections connected with the cantilever arms, and connecting the cantilever arms to the side face of the steel box girder; and hoisting the second sections, and connecting the two ends of the second sections with the two adjacent hoisted first sections correspondingly to form the sidewalk.According to the invention, a sidewalk support does not need to be additionally arranged to erect a sidewalk, the installation efficiency is improved, and the construction cost is reduced.
