The gravity type bucket foundation comprises a main supporting part, a bottom plate and an upturning bucket skirt, wherein the main supporting part is suitable for supporting a to-be-supported object, and the bottom plate is fixedly arranged at the bottom of the main supporting part; and the upturning bucket skirt is at least partially arranged around the upper surface of the bottom plate, and a heavy object containing cavity is defined by the upturning bucket skirt and the bottom plate together. According to the gravity type bucket foundation, by changing the structural form, canceling a bucket skirt lower hem and adding the upturning bucket skirt, the situation that thebucket skirt cannot float and enter a field due to interference between the bucket skirt lower hem and a mud surface is avoided, and good bearing capacity and overturning resistance can be achieved.
