The preparation method comprises the following steps of: doping a composite additive Li2CO3-Bi2O3 into a ceramic base material Sr2CeO4 so as to reduce the sintering temperature to 875-1100DEG C; the chemical expression of the dielectric ceramic material is as follows: (100-a)wt% Sr2CeO4+a wt% Li2CO3-Bi2O3, wherein a is greater than 0 and less than or equal to 4, and the mass ratio of Li2CO3 to Bi2O3 isequal to x:y=0.25-4. By reducing the sintering temperature of the Sr2CeO4 ceramic, abnormal growth of ceramic grains is avoided, and the ceramic crystal structure stability and excellent microwave dielectric properties are maintained. The preparation method is simple in preparation process, low in cost and good in repeatability, is suitable for large-scale production, and the strontium cerate microwave dielectric ceramic material has a wide application prospect in the field of microwave components like filters, antennas and dielectric substrates.
