The invention discloses a device for treating garbage in water for a hydropower station. The device comprises a box body, wherein a movable groove which is provided with a downward opening and is through front and back is formed in the lower side of the box body, belt cavities are symmetrically formed in the left and right side walls of the movable groove, impeller shafts extending left and rightare rotatably installed in the belt cavities, and extensively penetrate through and are rotatably connected with the movable groove, impellers are fixedly connected to the portion, located in the movable groove, of the impeller shafts, transition cavities are symmetrically formed in the portion, in the left and right positions of the upper side of the movable groove, of the box body, and linkage shafts extending left and right are rotatably installed between the wall bodies of the transition cavities and the belt cavities, and stretch into the belt cavities to be in belt drive with the impeller shafts.
