The invention relates to a sand excavation construction process based on a cutter suction dredger. The sand excavation construction process comprises the following steps of (1) preparing for construction; (2) taking the cutter suction dredger in position; (3) taking a barge mounting platform in position, and connecting with the cutter suction dredger by adopting an automatic floating pipeline; (4)berthing a sand barge to the barge mounting platform; (5) excavating sands by the cutter suction dredger, and blowing mud to the sand barge with the barge mounting platform; and (6) repeating the steps (4) and (5) for continuous circulating sand excavation. The invention provides the sand excavation construction process based on the cutter suction dredger, compared with an existing sand excavation construction process using a sand sucker, the operating characteristic of the cutter suction dredger on the project site is fully given, and many disadvantages of the existing sand excavation construction process using the sand sucker are solved.
