The invention discloses a fire hydrant. The fire hydrant comprises a hydrant body, a lower valve seat connected with the hydrant body, an operating rod arranged in the hydrant body and a valve elementarranged in the lower valve seat, wherein the operating rod is connected with the valve element, the valve element is provided with a first water feeding channel penetrating through the valve element, the lower valve seat is provided with a second water feeding channel penetrating through the lower valve seat and a drainage channel penetrating through the lower valve seat, the drainage channel communicates with the outside, the valve element synchronously rotates relative to the lower valve seat along with the operating rod, when the first water feeding channel corresponds to the second waterfeeding channel, the fire hydrant is in an open state for water feeding, and when the first water feeding channel corresponds to the drainage channel, the fire hydrant is in a closed state for drainage. According to the fire hydrant, water feeding and water draining are achieved through relative rotation of the valve element and the lower valve seat, water draining can be conducted when the firstwater feeding channel corresponds to the drainage channel, no accumulated water exists in the hydrant body of the fire hydrant, and the fire hydrant is protected against frost cracking.
