The invention relates to a formwork for making an anti-cracking concrete wall and a construction method of the formwork. The formwork comprises a reinforcement cage arranged on the ground, thin platesarranged at two sides of the reinforcement cage and base plates arranged at two ends of the thin plates, wherein a guide assembly allowing the thin plates to be inserted and slide is arranged at thetwo sides of the reinforcement cage, the guide assembly comprises locating bases arranged in parallel at the two sides of the lower end of the reinforcement cage and a connecting seat arranged at oneend of each of the two locating bases, an insertion groove allowing the reinforcement cage to be inserted is formed between the two locating bases, a sliding strip is arranged at the outer side of each thin plate, the upper end of each locating base is provided with a sliding groove which allows the corresponding sliding strip to be inserted in a sliding mode and is parallel to the corresponding sliding strip, the lower end of each thin plate abuts against the ground, and the outer end of each thin plate abuts against the inner end of the corresponding locating base. The formwork has the advantages that mutual parallelism of two ends of concrete is guaranteed, and the thickness, from the two ends of the concrete to the interior of the concrete, of the reinforcement cage is consistent.
