The electric heating ice melting system is composed of a carbon fiber heating cable, a cable clamping frame, a power source, a control switch, a controller, a temperature sensor, an ice and snow detection sensor and an electric leakage protection device. The carbon fiber heating cable is fixed in a sidewalk floor brick joint through a certain number of cable clamping frames, heat for melting ice and snow covering the sidewalk can be continuously generated under a power-on condition, and the effect of melting the ice and the snow is achieved. The controller comprises a temperature sensor and an ice and snow detection sensor, and can automatically control the on-off of the system according to the road surface temperature and the ice and snow occurrence situation. The construction method mainly comprises the four steps of roadbed construction, floor brick laying, cable installation and system installation.
