The invention discloses a half-through arch bridge variable-width section construction method. The method comprises the steps of: hoisting a prefabricated cast-in-place hanging bracket through hoisting equipment to make the top surface of the cast-in-place hanging bracket flush with the bottom surface of a cast section; connecting the two sides of the cast-in-place hanging bracket to two sides ofan arch rib through a hanging tool system correspondingly; laying a template system used for casting a variable-width section on the top face of the cast-in-place hanging bracket, and casting concreteafter steel bars are bound to form the variable-width section; and after the concrete reaches a designed strength, dismounting the hanging tool system, and hoisting the cast-in-place hanging bracketaway through the hoisting equipment. According to the construction method, the cast-in-place hanging bracket is hoisted through hoisting equipment and connected to the cast section, then the cast-in-place hanging bracket and the arch rib are fixedly connected through the hanging tool system, therefore construction of the variable-width section is conducted on the cast-in-place hanging bracket. According to the method, the construction risk in the construction process of the variable-width section is reduced, the operation process is simplified, the construction period is shortened, and the maximization of economy, safety and practicability is realized.
