The invention discloses a gravity dam apparent crack dangerousness prediction method and system. Actually-measured first 3-5-order frequencies and modes containing an apparent crack gravity dam structure are obtained; and the actually-measured first 3-5-order frequencies and modes containing the apparent crack gravity dam structure are input to a pre-built crack information prediction model basedon machine learning, and crack depths and direction angles are determined. The method and system have the advantages that through a site test, the penetration depth and the direction in a gravity damapparent crack can be accurately predicted, according to a prediction result, whether the crack threatens the whole safety of the gravity dam can be evaluated, the reinforcing maintaining measure canbe taken in time conveniently, and the safety hidden danger of the gravity dam structure can be removed.
